MatrixMixer live

Hi,

Has anyone tried using an AU mixer live? How little latency can you get?

I would like to build a live guitar rig around my MOTU 828-II, but the unit does not have a convenient way to access its presets. I think what I want to do would be a pretty straightforward use of the MatrixMixer, but before I start out on all that coding, I'd like to have some hope that it's going to be useable (on my 1.0 GHz Powerbook). Besides, I think it would be way cool to have my PowerBook's glowing apple on top of my rack!

What do you think, sirs?

Thanks,
Bill
