AU automation for the dummy.

Hi everybody,

I remember that some times ago there was a discussion about automation and AU and I need to refresh my mind about this. As far as I remember, all writable (?) public parameters are "automatable". The host should install a listener proc or something like that to be notified when a parameter has been changed in the UI by the user.

Is it really working this way?

On Logic, the automation "engine" may be activated in a popup menu. I don't know how it works on the others sequencers. Is there any way for the plugin to know that automation data are being recorded (ie that the automation engine has been started or stopped)?

Thanks,

Philippe Wicker
