I would like to know why you want to save a file without a file
extension. The blurb for OS X makes it clear (somewhere) that in this
brave new world of unix, file extensions are once again de rigeur, maybe
even mandatory. Personally, I can think of no circumstances in which the
absence of an extension would be useful to me! I hope the days of
Macintosh applications greying out legitimate soundfiles in a folder
just because they don't have those silly file types or even sillier
Creator types, are now long gone.

Hello All its me again,
I'm having a bit of trouble with the 'AudioToolbox' and the wrapper
files in auprocess.cpp.
What I'm trying to do is to save a new Audio File as a SoundDesigner2
file without having to specify an extension in the 'destFilePath' .
