Music Effect AUs in Logic

Hi,

my Audio Unit is a Music Effect i.e. it's derived from AUMIDIEffectBase. It handles its own MIDI input and maps MIDI CC# to parameter changes and other events. This all works fine in every app apart from Logic.

Logic seems to have a mind of its own when it comes to passing MIDI to effect plug-ins. Does anyone know how to do it? I can feed MIDI to the audio object that the plug-in is used as in insert in, but Logic seems to remap the controller messages to parameter changes internally, rather than actually pass the MIDI to the effect.

If anyone can shed any light on this I'd be most grateful.

cheers,
os.
