Part II ...

I can send you a very simple main.c that will demonstrate this problem pretty easy (that said, if the numbers I was using are supposed to still be valid -- they did work in all the older OpenAL versions.) It uses the dylib compiled from the tib of the OpenAL archive (do you know that there are 2 OS X openAL projects in there? That's kind of confusing :) )

Actually, if the other project in there (in the mac directory) is the OLDER non-core audio version, I could test against that and see what happens. If that works, it's a good sign that the new one is broken.

I'm probably just going to drop another copy of dim3 and tell people that "sound might or might not work" and watch creative's site for a new OpenAL, but I want to do as much as I can right now to see if I can help you guys hash out these problems.
