Hey Andrew,
Yeah there's a Carbon window/view construction trick that wasn't being
followed in most early Cocoa hosts that was cocking up the event
handling. I've switched to the right way in Rax (in an as yet
unreleased version) and it's now passing the events properly.
(Hmmm I should post the fix to the Swiki).

Garageband 1.1 seems to have fixed the problem - my AU responds
correctly now. Since Soundtrack seemed/seems to have the same bug
(same/similar code ?) I hope it'll get fixed soon too.
