Approaching this from the other direction, is there any legal reason
that other people can't publish info derived from reverse engineering
the format? Where can one ask Apple about this and get a response?
At least the Soundtrack Loop Utility is an idea tool for reverse
engineering. Even if it does write AIFF files with missing pad bytes
between chunks - Apple are not setting a very good example here!
