Hi Louis,
Our CoreAudio driver is fully class-compliant, and you do not need to do
anything special to use it. The only thing slightly unusual about our
driver is that it is implemented as a user-space plugin as opposed to an
IOKit-based kext.
Are you using a version of the driver earlier than 6.5.2? If you are,
you should upgrade to version 6.5.2 on our website. (You can use version
6.5.2 of the driver with any OSX version of PT.)
If you're using a version earlier than 6.5, then the driver is
single-client, and the behavior you're seeing is probably because
another app is already using the driver.
Since 6.5 the driver has been multi-client, and you should see it in the
device list just like any other device. (Note: If you're using PT, then
the Mbox won't show up in the CoreAudio device list.)
