When developing CoreAudio drivers, particularly those that follows the AudioHardwarePlugIn API, it is rather difficult to check the correct behaviour of the driver. HALLab gives some info, but in case of incorrect behavior, it is difficult to understand if a problem is located in the driver or in the application using it.

Since there is a AU validation tool now, is Apple considering developing the same kind of tools to validate drivers?

Thanks

Stephane Letz
