Thanks for the reply! Can you point me to any sample code or documentation on writing a driver for a USB audio device? I am familiar with writing USB drivers but not about the audio specific parts or requirements.

For our DVD Player to send AC-3 data to your device, your device has to say it can handle it by having your driver advertise at least one available format whose format ID is kIOAudioStreamSampleFormatAC3.
