Further investigation:
It's not always 256 samples - sometimes it's more (up to 400 or so),
but it's *always* within one buffer size.
It's not latency, as it's not making the audio any later than it is,
it's just that a variable amount of samples (within one buffer) is
not getting affected by the immediate (starting) parameter change...
and it certainly doesn't look like it's trying to smooth or de-zipper
- it'll *snap* right to 0 in the middle of the buffer, clicking and all.
I can also confirm that the AudioUnitSetParameter call I'm giving has
an "inBufferOffsetInFrames" of 0. There's nothing variable about what
I'm sending there.
