I don't think it's VM. I checked on that, too (I forgot to mention
something about that when I posted my last question.
I ran the following:
sar -p 1 100
sar -q 1 100
and carefully watched: no pageouts (or pageins, for that matter) when
iTunes was skipping.
What OS does your 300 MHz blue G4 have? (Actually, if it's blue and
300 MHz, wouldn't it be a G3? I think my old G4 350 MHz was the first
one to come out. Like you, I don't get any iT stutters on that one--
only on my new 17" PB 1.67 GHz.) What about your Mini?
