One more thing you can do with this that will be very useful I think
in this situation is the following.
In the terminal cd to the directory of the executable of HAL Lab:
% cd what/ever/your/path/is/to/HALLab.app/Contents/MacOS/
Then launch HAL Lab as root:
% sudo ./HALLab
Now, in the telemetry window you can enable tracing on overloads -
this will only trace the first overload that is detected, but in the
situation you describe this should be what you need I think.. Trace
logs are interesting beasts - I'm sure we'll all have some fun
deciphering what's going on in these overloads that seem to coincide
with the gaps of audio output you are reporting.
