Just wanted to add my comments to this. I'm developing a MIDI app that uses
sysex messages a lot and I have many problems with strange messages. When I
started to build this app I had 2 Opcode Studio 4 interfaces and a g4port
in OS X. I was forced to sell the interfaces because I just could not get
the sysex to work. Now I have a MIDISport 4x4 and I'm gonna sell that as
well. My next interface will be a Edirol UM-880. And I really hope this
will solve all problems. I was doing sysex in assembly language (Motorola
68000) on my old Atari ST many many years ago and that little computer
always worked. Sysex should NOT be a problem today, but it is. I'm also
getting the impression that some driver authors don't do much testing of
sysex.
