I have a couple of apps created with Max that generate their own virtual source/destination ports. Various users are experiencing trouble that I suspect is port-related. Not dropped data, more other apps having trouble identifying and reconnecting to the ports when the other app starts.

I have little control over how the ports are created - if I am to approach the Max developers with this, I'll need to provide sane diagnosis and evidence.

Can anyone point me to any simple port testing/validation code somewhere I can perhaps build and run to inspect and test the ports my Max apps are creating?
