If you want to have two or more views showing simultaneously on an AU you can.

If you "Click" on the AU's Name in the mixer window, then:
(1) If a view for this AU is already opened, it will bring that window to the front
(2) If there is no view, then a new AU Inspector window is created


If you "Option-click" then you will *always* get a new AU Inspector window and view. You can then choose a different view from the view menu if you want to have say the generic view open at the same time as a custom view.
