Hi

Thanks William for replying back .  I have gone thru the documents of core audio but I am still confused about kernel I/O audio drivers and user space audio units . Which one should I go for?

My requirement is very basic  . I have single USB audio device with following specifications :

1)       Single input,  1 channel

2)       PCM

3)       16bits/resolutions

4)       32KHz

I have captured PCM stream using user space USB code using I/O kit .How should I make this available to my application ?

What is the simplest way to validate this audio stream? Also it is also ok with me if it works with only my application..

Pls suggest and clear my doubts..

Thanks and regards

 selva.
