Dear Bill,

Its a feature of the property info we didn't implement

Too bad :-(

We wouldn't fix this in a Tiger SU, but we will consider fixing this for a later OS Release (though I don't know if that would help you). I wonder if you can call through to the Spotlight importer here to get the information for file types where this property isn't supported (This might be true of other file types as well, so it would be a good backup case to have generally - we could help sort this out for you)

I am actually mainly interested in using this property in order to *write* title/artist/album information into
a sound file. I suppose that the Spotlight API is of no help for that. I suppose that I will simply restrict that
functionality for file types that support it. (I haven't tried using it to write yet, but I suppose it would work
at least for CAF files, right?) Best wishes,

Martin
