Hey Bill,

I'd really appreciate this also - as Rax is also suffering under the Cocoa/Carbon GUI bridging.

Tips on supporting Copy/Paste would also be very helpful.

Best,

Robert.

We found that this was extremely difficult to get right, and there is one problem with the current AULab that we've since fixed to do with activation...

We are planning on making more of this information available as soon as we can - but I can't give you a date yet...

So are you saying that this method as it's described will or will not work if I implement it? Is there more to it than just "InstallWindowEventHandler" with those events?

No that's not what I am saying - this is certainly part of the work that you need to do to get this to work. But we've also found some other issues that need to be solved in some cases as well. Its really too complex to explain in email, so you'll have to wait until we get all this written up and published as a tech note. But we'll do this as soon as we can - I understand your problem and desire for a speedy solution.

I'm also guessing that this is all obsoleting the "CarbonViewCocoaWindow" document I've seen in previous SDKs? Will that be updated along with all this?

No, just some additional things to really make this work well.

Bill

So many questions, so close to beta... :)
