Marc,
I really don't want this to turn into some kind of big discussion. Let's try
to be civilized.
And yes, you have been asking questions. Like when I ask for how I should
approach the channel problem, you ask why I'm doing it.
It's not that I mind such a question, not at all. What I do mind is that
when I try to answer them I get rude replies.
So... if you're not interested in helping, please don't answer the
questions.
claim that any proposed ideas that would involve actually doing something
to solve the problem would be unmanageable
??? What on earth are you talking about? Removing the channel stuff from the
interface when running as an AU would be a piece of cake. I don't remember
saying anything else.
What I want to do is just to be sure to choose a path which Apple is also
happy about. If this insults you, sorry about that.
I'm not sure, do you just want to hear yourself justify why you're not
going to work on a better solution?
Better than removing on the interface? Sorry, but I thought that was what
Apple suggested. I even believe this is your preferred solution.
So... bottom line is, if I may be frank for a second, if you want to help,
sure, shoot, but if you want to turn it into a AU/VST war or something like
that, I'm not your man, sorry.
Greets,
Michael Olsen

Please lets not be rude here. You asked why I had the problem, and I
answered. Of course I know how to remove it from the interface if
neccasary, that's not the question at all.
If you're going to be rude to me, I'd rather not answer your questions.
Okay. I haven't been asking questions, I've been trying to answer yours.
Though it doesn't seem that you actually want to hear possible solutions.
I'm not sure why, and really I'm not trying to be rude, but at a point,
it's hard to figure out how to help someone when they ask for help, but
claim that any proposed ideas that would involve actually doing something
to solve the problem would be unmanageable. I'm not sure, do you just
want to hear yourself justify why you're not going to work on a better
solution? I'm not invested in whatever project you're working on, but
I'll try to give helpful ideas if folks ask questions, but if you don't
really want help or ideas, I'm not sure what else to say...
