There was a follow up email posted by Ed Agabeg (from Apple's
Developer Support team) about this issue.

From William Stuart, about a month ago:
If you run Tiger Software Update, you may see an update for the
QuickTime SDK 7.0.2. If you are on Tiger, do NOT install this
update, as it will install the wrong set of CoreAudio headers -
it installs Panther based CoreAudio headers and this will cause
build problems, etc. The QuickTime 7.0.2 update is fine; it is
the updated QT binaries and contains no headers.
If you have already installed this SDK SU, then you can get back
your correct Tiger CoreAudio headers by running the latest
Developer DVD - there is an option there for CoreAudio SDK -
which are the correct headers.
Seeing as I'm only an ADC online member, I don't have a current
developer DVD lying around, and the CoreAudio SDK 1.4.2 package
that I can download doesn't seem to have the headers in it.
Anything I can do to fix my box?
On a somewhat related note, exactly what _is_ the "latest"
Developer DVD? The last one I can find in my (admittedly messy)
workspace is July 2005. But in addition to the latest QuickTime
mentioned above, I'm also trying to locate XCode version 2.1, which
isn't on that one, and the one on the April DVD is version 1.5. (I
can download it, but it's over 750meg, and that's about 7.5 hours
at my download speeds.)
Thanks
