I suppose it would be redundant to point out here that the audio bandwidth is
not exactly 400 Mbit or 480 Mbit due to overhead of each bus protocol.  The
actual audio bit rates would be lower, and are probably close to being on par
with each other between FireWire 400 and USB 2.0

Of course, we have already seen FireWire 800 audio interfaces, so the bus bit
wars are far from over...

That's right, but on USB2.0 it's 400Mbit against 480 Mbit.
