Thanks for the clarification on the manufacturer's ID in the Sequence-
specific Meta-event format. I too have a copy of the MIDI specs -
perhaps I should read them again...
As for the 'secrecy' issue, tally our vote in support of it.

By "publish" are you referring to the MMA requirement that (like
SysEx formats) your format for Sequencer-specific Meta-event is
supposed to be published so that other manufacturers can use them?

I'm only asking because other companies have expressed interest in
some "secrecy" regarding their use of MIDI, so perhaps this is
something the MMA should consider supporting.
