AIFF chunks in Apple Loops

  • Subject: AIFF chunks in Apple Loops

Hello,

I have combed the lists, google, etc for information on the extra AIFF chunks found in an Apple Loop audio file:
'trns' //this contains information on the transient peaks in the audio file
'cate' //this is straightforward, contains text of the assigned sound category
'basc' //this contains some info about slice intervals (i.e 1/4, 1/8, 1/16 note) and other stuff

Can anyone point me to a resource or specification about these chunks? I am mainly interested in the 'trns' chunk as my masters project involves using Apple Loops. I have done my best to figure out the data via hex editor, but obviously it would be great to get some confirmation on the spec.

Thanks!
Andrew
