You don't generate a window - you get a window from the host and you
draw in it. Have a look at the simple AUHosting examples (and how
they work!) in the CoreAudio SDK - /Developer/Examples/CoreAudio/ -
this in your disk (its installed as part of the developer DVDs apple
provides) not the web.
