Sorry for such a simple question: where is the documentation on the
AUMixer Audio Unit? Or other Apple-provided Audio Units?
Not as such - it has been requested often, and we're in the process
of getting something out.
What about issuing Docs on how to assist us in implementing phone
quality audio streaming for
VIOP applications. Why has Apple all but ignored this upcoming
technology, and yet WinBlows
API's have a rich set of really nice ways to implement SIP phones and
other low bandwidth
streaming for telephony applications? I guess this answers my question
why there are so
many more winBlows apps then ones ported to run on the Mac.
I would think it would be in Apple's best interest to start thinking of
hiring more creative
AMERICAN programmers and putting together a VIOP team to implement nice
and easy to
use API's for telephony apps.
There is only ONE SIP application available for the Mac. I don't count
X-lite... as it's just
a port, and nothing runs native.
M$ is "stomping" apple in the VIOP software availability market. Don't
believe me? go out
on the net and google VIOP applications, and do your own survey... you
would be pressed
to find that 30 - 40% of the apps out there are ONLY available under
Winblows.
I think the main reason for this, is it's hella hard to develop a VIOP
SIP application to
run on the Mac... I know, I'm doing one.
