loading plug-in prevents host from hiding

Hi,

I have a weird problem with some of my plug-ins. Maybe somebody here can help.

The long and the short of it is that after loading up my plug-in, some
hosts (not all) no longer properly respond to Apple+H (hide). The app
loses focus, but the windows don't hide - also clicking on one of the
app's windows restores focus to it, but doesn't update the menu bar to
reflect the app's name.

I could understand if this were a problem with my GUI code, but this
happens before the view is even created.

The only change I can attribute it to is building with the 10.4.xxx SDK.

Has anyone seen anything like this before?

cheers, os.
