IChat disturbing OS X audio?

Hi,

My application which is an audio recorder is pretty much based on the ComplexPlayThru and afrecord (Develeloper/CoreAudio/Examples/AudioFileTools) examples.

It works fine here and for most users but one user (Mac OSX (10.4.6) on a Dual 2.3 G5) reports that when he have iChat running, it sometimes distorts the sound completly. Quiting iChat solves the problem.

It seems the audio is distorted when it reaches my application in the InputCallback().

I this a know problem with iChat or could the problem be within my application?
