The AUPannerUnits.txt file in the SDK is very helpful.
Is there anything like this for the mixer units floating around?
I'm needing to mix an arbitrary number of inputs, and would like to
know more about what the stereo and matrix units can do for me.
I'm not even sure how many simultaneous inputs they support.
Hoping to find some insight into the black boxes.
I find it amazing the Apple are trying encourage developers to use
Core Audio and AUs, whilst providing the minimum of documentation.
Often, it seems that all that's available are a few tech notes and
some program examples. These are useful, but no substitute for real
information.
I'm normally a Java programmer and there's a H-U-G-E amount written
on Java Sound. If I need to know anything, the answers will
normally be on one these three sites:
contents.html
- http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/
All three are worth a quick look just to show the level of support
that Apple could be providing!
Bob
