Some of the Ensoniq instruments circa the EPS and TS samplers used a
variable-inductance keyboard design which sensed Note Off Velocity and Poly Key
Pressure.
There was also the Sequential Circuits T8, which had Note Off Velocity and Poly
Key Pressure.

Doug is right.
The Oberheim Matrix-12 and Xpander both implement Note Off Velocity.
In my book, they're more than enough reason to support the feature ;-)
