You might like AUTimePitch better - you can increase the speed without affecting the pitch.

when slowing audio down or forwarding it, auvarispeed sounds really good, as long as I don't do that too fast. if I exceed +2.5 the quality gets really bad. could you suggest any alternative to varispeed in order to enable the use to forward a track very fast and still hear it.
hope someone has a hint.
