Yes, it does all of this for you.

A music sequence has a tempo track - a tempo track will have tempo events (and meta events for time sig)

CAShow seems to print out a MusicSequence of a MIDI file showing beats, how can I get at this beat information directly? If it can isolate beats, it must be able to get at the Division statement in the MThd header (i.e. MThd 1 1 120).
