Hi all,
In my application I have a fairly straightforward use of a HAL audio
unit hooked up to a matrix mixer.
I have received confirmation from a user that the Digidesign "Digi
002" works correctly with my app--where by "correctly" I mean that he
is able to route sound to all available channels of the device.
I recently received a report from a different user concerning a
related device, the "Digi 002 R". He has been unable to route sound
out of anything but the first two channels. To the best of my
knowledge this is not user error, e.g. he is setting up crosspoints
correctly. (And sent me a screenshot to prove it.)
I do not have either piece of hardware available for testing, so I am
curious if this situation is familiar to anyone. Any off-the-top-of-
the-head ideas how this might arise? Do the drivers for the 002 R
have any history of flakiness? Are they even differnt from the plain-
ol' 002? I have received reports from people using a variety of
other devices that my application is correctly supporting devices of
up to 16 channels, so I am not sure where the error is most likely to
be found.
As you can guess, I'm sort of stabbing in the dark here.
Anyone who happens to have a Digi 002 R can try it first hand--here's
the address of the application:

Thanks for any ideas,
Chris
