This kind of wired "window slicing" can happen occasionally when
mixing Carbon and Cocoa (as done in Logic in this case: Logic's plug-
in header is Carbon, your AU view is Cocoa) because both Carbon and
Cocoa maintain a window ordering list of their own, and sometimes the
ordering between windows of the Carbon world and windows of the Coca
world can be wrong.
This is not a bug in your Cocoa view (which is just a view and
shouldn't mess with the windows anyways) - Logic should handle this
better.
In Logic Pro 7.2.3 on Tiger all is okay - so I assume this was an
issue in 7.1.x that was fixed? Should I just suggest that people
update to 7.2 first? Or this is a problem in my Cocoa view?
There were some improvements in this area over the last couple of
Logic 7 dot-releases, so yes the general rule would be to always use
the latest release if possible.
Best,
Stefan
