It could be the case that with ALAC audio it is not entirely possible
to write the data to disk until the entire audio stream is available
The problem does not occur if encoding to AIFF.
The problem occurs when encoding to AAC or Apple Lossless, with a
filetype of kAudioFileM4AType. However, if you use kAudioFileCAFType,
the problem does not occur.
So it seems there might be a problem with kAudioFileM4AType, where
the data is not being flushed to disk but is instead staying in
memory.
