I see what you mean here, sadly I can't tell you why your seeing what
your seeing. As a work around would it be possible to record to and
work with CAF instead of M4A?
So it seems there might be a problem with kAudioFileM4AType, where
the data is not being flushed to disk but is instead staying in
memory.
It'd have to be a CoreAudio guy that looks into this one...
