Hi Stefan,

I was thinking of some Audio Unit Effects that involve 2 Inputs and 4 Outputs. While designing those I ran into the problem if Logic could handle those.
I've seen Audio Unit Instruments using multiple Outputs, but never saw Effects.
So, is there any possibility to get this done in logic? Using a audio unit, with 1 stereo input ; 1 stereo output and 2 aux outputs??
Logic doesn't support multiple outputs for effect insert slots.

There is one workaround, but I don't recommend using it just for getting multiple outputs in Logic: a Midi-capable effect ('aumf') can be inserted in an instrument slot and there it can also have multiple outputs (just like instruments). The audio is sent to such a Midi- capable effect via the side-chain menu.
If you're heading down this path, please make sure your AU actually complies to the additional Midi processing protocol that this type of AU was designed for, or else other hosts might get confused.

Best,
Stefan
