Not as such. These are still Audio Units (and they are meant thus to
primarily provide/process audio data).
We have the MIDI APIs for MusicEffects and MusicDevice AUs that allow
you to set MIDI commands as control signals. With Leopard we have
added MIDIOutputCallbacks - so an AU can generate or output MIDI data
- and the model we are using here is that this MIDI output data would
in same way by associated with the audio data the AU is generating.
We have toyed with the idea a number of times of having MIDI
Processing modules, but not pursued that (not for any good or bad
reason, it just hasn't been a high enough priority for us)
