Logic 8 AU names?

I'm testing my AU with Logic 8. I recently changed the display name, but
Logic 8 still shows the old name.
auval shows:
AudioUnit name: Multiband Panner
Component Info: Multiband Panner
while Logic 8 still displays "Parametric Panner". Other hosts, not sure
about other versions of Logic do display "Multiband Panner". Any ideas?
