Logic caches the names. You'll have to remove the cache file. (com.apple.LogicAUCache.plist)

auval shows:
AudioUnit name: Multiband Panner
Component Info: Multiband Panner
while Logic 8 still displays "Parametric Panner". Other hosts, not sure about other versions of Logic do display "Multiband Panner". Any ideas?
