A quick question about the AudioFilePlayer Audio Unit...

Will it handle multiple-channel files and output formats?

For example, if I drop a surround-format WAVE or AIFF file (6 channel) in it, can I/should I set the output stream format of the AU to a 6-channel output? Will that play all of the channels?

Or is the AU stereo output only (in terms of actual playback, not in connection)?
