What kind of meta info?
all meta info: title, artist, album, cover art, etc etc.
ok
Theoretically yes - you can read/write the packets from one file
to another without changing them in any way quite simply.
(AudioFileReadPacket -> AudioFileWritePacket)
okay so it still sounds like i must copy the data from one file to
a new file when i wish to *change* meta data (tagging info) is that
correct?
Ideally, you don't have to create a new file just to change the meta-
data - so if you run across problems by just getting the data,
modifying it, and writing it back, please file a bug report with a
reproducible case and we'll look into it
