Node based Audio mixing

Just a quick note to see if anyone knows of a node based audio mixing/ editing application? I am working on an application similar to Shake's node editing interface. The application would enable the user to graphically link effects together. For example, a user would have an input track node, this node could be connected to any other effect. This would make for an easy graphical representation of the audio path. Side-chains could be created with lowpass filters or voice over compression. The feed out of the lowpass could be graphically routed to the bus of a mixer while the another node could feed an input channel in the mixer...

I have Shake, xmedit, and conduit.....and thought it would be good if there was a similar capability for audio either as a plug-in to FCP or standalone.

Has anyone seen anything like this for the Mac?

Thanks for your time.

Ron
