Hello,
I would like to develop a software switch between internal
speakers and headphones. I have been looking on forums to see
feasibility, however the few posts I found mentioned a "hard"
switch to the jack channel when a headphone is plugged.
If this is true, I don't get why there is a beep through internal
speakers when you reboot even if headphones are plugged.
Is it possible to implement a software switch, and if yes could you
direct me to the functions to be used? (and if yes, would that be
dependent on the type of mac you're using?)
I don't know for sure, but my impression is that some machines handle
the switch from headphones to speakers in software and others do it
in hardware. I'm afraid I don't have any idea how you would implement
a manual switch :(
