How to tell if my AU's UI is in front?

  • Thread-topic: How to tell if my AU's UI is in front?

Hi Folks,

Does anyone know if there is a reliable way to determine if my UI has been
"activated". For example, if I test in AULab, if the plugin UI is open but
other windows are in front of it, and I click on the insert tile for my
plugin, the UI window is brought to the front. I would like to find a
reliable way to get notified that this has just happened (reliable in the
sense that it is likely to work in all hosts).

Obviously I can tell when the UI component is opened, but it I am unsure of
how to capture this "user focus" event (or if it is even possible). Any
suggestions greatly appreciated!!

Best regards,

B.J. Buchalter
