Hello Jeff,
Can you tell me when this bug was introduced (e.g. 10.4.9, 10.4.8, etc.)? I would like to know so I can inform users which system they will need to roll back to if they do not have Leopard.
I have a Phonic Firewire mixer that uses the default driver and it used to present clock sources and now it doesn't. When I turn it on it will not produce consistent latency unless I manually change the sample rate now. This was not the case in previous system versions to 10.4.10. I have also experienced audio discontinuities from certain inputs into multiple host applications although I have not done enough testing to determine whether this is driver or hardware related.

While the same issues the built-in hardware raised apply here, there is the added complication of a bug in the our FireWire Audio driver where it would not produce consistent throughput latency figures from test run to test run. This bug has been fixed in Leopard.
