Hi Chris,
Disabling compiler optimization appears to solve the parameter ID
offset problem I saw. That's a portion of my problem, but it's
likely the more difficult one to isolate. Thank you for the cue -
I'll let you what I find when I have had a chance to look into it and
have found a resolution.
The thread you began last month appeared to end without resolution.
Doug Wyatt asked if the compiler issued a warning when '-Wstrict-
aliasing' was set. A warning was not issued (gcc 4.0 Universal build
on Intel) when I tested this.
The other half of my problem will probably just require a wrapper for
a different means to set the parameter. Specifically, to notify the
host of the change -- although I thought this method worked using
Filter Demo and my implementation is virtually identical as far as
what is called and how... When tested (PPC) with AU Lab, everything
appeared to work properly. In Logic and GarageBand, the parameter
change notifications are still not observed by the host (PPC only)
though parameters are set.
I'll look further into solutions.
Thank you for the advice,
Justin
