I haven't tried using the AudioConverter property that you mention,
but I got this to work by setting the output stream format flag
kAppleLosslessFormatFlag_16BitSourceData

The converter is configured to take native endian Float 32 audio
and convert it to ALAC. However, I keep getting the error
kAudioConverterErr_PropertyNotSupported.
Does anybody have any suggestions or example of this property in
