Just one addendum: a mayor difference between logic-au and coreaudio- api is that mails sent to logic-au will only be seen by Apple employees, so that's a place to ask questions that you don't want to raise publicly (i.e. on coreaudio-api) for some reason (e.g. because they concern not-yet-announced products, reveal details about your product that you'd rather keep to yourself, or refer to information that we've provided under NDA).

Best,
Stefan

This kind of thing is more useful if it goes to the CA API list, because there are other developers of audio units that have to deploy in Logic. We will generally make the call whether an issue is specific enough to a developer and Logic that the issue should go to the logic AU list (just to keep the traffic level down).

So, we would really prefer if issues were aired first on this list.

Thanks

I would imagine there are some issues that wouldn't fit the CoreAudio API list.

For instance, lots of my users have had problems with Logic Pro 7 not saving- or rather, not intializing on startup, because it does save- settings on my plugins. There was a workaround where if you adjusted any control, all the others would pop back to the saved settings. Logic 8 fixed the problem for all my users, without any updating on my part- I _could_ do no updating, because the behavior wasn't in the plugin itself.

Is there a proper place to raise issues like that- or perhaps CoreAudio API is the best bet simply because the host behaviors reflect on CoreAudio and are sometimes the only way people can have experience with CoreAudio-based plugins?
