Custom audio channels names in coreaudio

  • Subject: Custom audio channels names in coreaudio

Hi, there,

I want to display custom names for a device's channels.
I used kAudioDevicePropertyChannelNameCFString for that purpose.
But it looks like Audio Midi Setup is the only app that uses it. And my channels get the right names in Audio-Midi setup, but not in any other audio app.
I didn't find any other property that would be requested for channel names.

Did I miss something?
Thanks

Eric
